Thank you for being a member of the Black Hawk/Bremer League of Women Voters, the organization where hands-on work to safeguard democracy leads to civic improvement. We are advocates at city halls, schools, statehouses, congress, ongress and most importantly for the League.

 

"Program" is the basis for the League's education and action efforts. Our league has a goal of educating our members and commumity about topics of interest through our programs and quality speakers. Please review the enclosed calendar of events and enourage your family and friends to attend.

 

Beyond our programs, we look for opportumnties to build the organization. Our members are our greatest asset. Our League has another goal of increasing our membership by 10% this year. I encourage all members to promote the League's good work and ask people to join. Successful membership development comes from actively reaching out and building relationships. Ask others to join you in making democracy work.

 

I also encourage you to be our advocate and contact your legislators on kety Legue issues. Our voice is impo®tant and needed.
